The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today visited digitization centers established at Keegam and Imam Sahib tehsils of Shopian for digitization of revenue records being undertaken in the district and took stock of the pace of the digitization process.
During the visit, DC interacted with the revenue officials regarding the various issues related to digitization.He expressed satisfaction with the overall pace of digitization within the district and directed the revenue officers/officials to further intensify their efforts and ensure completion of the task within the shortest possible time.
The digitization of revenue records is being carried out in all the districts of the UT under the directions of the UT Government. It is part of the digital initiatives taken by the Government and is aimed at bringing more transparency in the Revenue department.
