The Supremo Trophy Cricket Tournament 2022 Season 9 launch was a grand event that was held at the Air India Sports Club Ground in Kalina, Santacruz on the evening of 24 May 2022.Gaining popularity as every season passes by, this tennis cricket match tournament that is organized by Shiv Sena District President and MLA Sanjay Potnis and Hon'ble Minister of Transport Maharashtra Advocate Dr Anil Parab will conclude on 28 May. Present on this occasion were chief guest cricketer Vinod Kambli, Film Director Mahesh Manjrekar, Milind Narvekar and Nadeem Memon. This one of its kind tournament was inaugurated by recitation of Hymns of Lord Ganesha that was followed by a dance performance amidst the fireworks and music. The magnificent trophy that would be presented to the winning team was also unveiled at this event.
For the records, Supremo Chashak is the biggest tennis ball tournament in India that is being held from 24 May 2002 till the 28th of May that will be held at the Air India Sports Club Ground, Kalina in Santacurz.Actor and film director Mahesh Manjrekar remarked, "I have been regularly attending the Supremo Trophy Tournament every year and Sanjay Potnisji's meticulous arrangement and the organisation is highly commendable. No doubt that due to Corona Pandemic this tournament could not take place for a couple of years, and that is not in our hands. But I am extremely impressed with the arrangements and the prizes being offered to the players will be a motivation and boost their morale.”
Vinod Kambli performed the coconut-breaking ceremony to kick-start the first match of the tournament. "Such a prestigious tournament is a golden opportunity for the players. I remember that Sachin Tendulkar and myself had begun our careers in such a similar tournament," mentioned Vinod Kambli while conveying his best wishes to the players and urged them to play with passion and enjoy the game without any pressures. First day of the tournament witnessed an exciting match between Peirameter Vaishnavi (Raigad) versus Shirsat Sports (Ahmednagar) and the second match was played by TWA Dominators (Palghar) v/s Rohit Cricketers (Vasco, Goa).
