BJP district Schedule caste morcha Shimla organised a welcome programme for Dr Sikander Kumar, newly nominated Rajya Sabha Member of parliament in Gaiety Theatre.He was warmy welcomed by BJP Workers at CTO and later he was received by minister in state government Suresh Bhardwaj.Rajya Sabha MP Dr Sikander Kumar while thanking the national leadership on his appointment as Rajya Sabha MP said during my complete tour of himachal where i attended 30 meeting per day it was seen that villages, cities and people of himachal are in complete favour of BJP.
The general public of himachal have given me love and blessings all over the state and I will never be able to repay this love i have received.When I was conveyed by the chief minister Jairam Thakur and BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda about my rajya sabha selection I could not believe the same.We are party soilders and we abide by the orders of our organisation, i thinking about no loss resigned from the post of vice chancellor and professorship. I pledge to sever my nation on this berth given to me by my Party. This is only possible in BJP that one can become a leader and a member of Parliament without lobbying for the post.
He said this is for the first time in himachal that a schedule caste and Vice chancellor has become a rajya sabha member, this is historic.We are a party with a difference and our party respects sees a person who works. It is only possible in BJP that a tea seller can become a prime minister of India, Son of a mason can become a chief minister of himachal and a son of a farmer can become national president of the World largest party, BJP.He said congress has always followed the policy of divide and rule. They have always divided himachal and india on basis of caste and religion. BJP has always worked for social harmony, we have always worked for a united india.
Today our centre government has given empowerment to SC's in india we have 12 cabinet ministers in India and our state Governor is also for SC community. Congress believes in only vendata politics where they tried to topple me from the post of vice chancellor, they had hired Shravan dogra former Advocate general of himachal against me. Finally the case was dismissed by the double bench in high court of himachal pradesh.Congress never respected Dr Bhim rao Ambedkar it was BJP who gave him bharat ratan. Congress always disrespected Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, BJP gave us constitution day and Bhim Rao's Panch Tirath.
We can never compare what BJP has done for SC community in India.He said when I was vice chancellor i installed a chair of Former chief minister Virbhadra Singh and this move if mine was not liked by congressmen in the university.Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said we cannot forget the efforts of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar of making one india. He was the architect of our constitution and today our constitution has given us social equality rights.Today we are thankful to our National leaders for nominating Dr Sikander Kumar as MP to rajya sabha.BJP State secretary Tilak Raj said that we are proud to have a leader like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, even congress and communist leaders say that there is no competition to modi.
India can never have a leader like him.
