Sub Divisional Magistrate Offices at Rakkar and Kotla Behar and BDO office at Dadasiba would be opened in Jaswan Pragpur Assembly Constituency of Kangra district. These announcements were made by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing a mammoth public meeting at Nakki Khad at Pragpur in Kangra district today after performing inaugurations and foundation stones of 39 developmental projects worth about Rs. 190 crore for Jaswan Pragpur Assembly Constituency of the district. He also announced upgradation of PHC Pragpur to Model PHC, creation of additional posts of doctors at Civil Hospital Garli and starting of science classes in Government Senior secondary School Bathra and commerce classes in Government Senior secondary school Kuhna.Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi successfully led the nation in fighting the covid-19 pandemic. He said that the biggest free vaccination campaign of the world was also launched in the country successfully. He said that almost all sections of the society have been benefited by the developmental policies and programmes of the Centre and State Governments. He said that several schemes of the Centre such as Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, Ujjawala Yojna, Ayushman Bharat etc have benefitted crores of people of the country. He said that similarly, State Schemes like Grihini Suvidha Yojna, HIMCARE, Sahara Yojna, Shagun Yojna etc have benefitted lakhs of people of the State. He said that unfortunately, the Congress leaders were not able to see these developments as they did nothing for the betterment and welfare of the people of the country during their tenures.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the present State Government during the last four and a half years has ensured that all the welfare schemes and developmental programmes reaches the person living at the lowest ebb. He said that Sahara Yojna has been proving a boon to the families having a chronically ill patient. He said that Rs. 3000 per month was being provided to such families under this scheme. He took a jibe at Congress party and said that despite remaining in power for over 50 years, the Congress did nothing for such section of the society. He said that several schemes have been started for empowerment of the women in the State. He said that Mukhya Mantri Swavlamban Yojna has made the youth of the State ‘job providers’ instead of ‘job seekers’.Chief Minister said that the State Government has decided that 50 percent concession on fare in HRTC buses for women passengers and free power upto 125 units per month would be provided to domestic consumers of the State from July this year. He said the State Government has also decided that free drinking water facility would be provided in rural areas of the State. He said that it was strange that the Congress leaders were opposing these decisions of the State Government which shows the dual character of its leaders. He said that zero bill would be charged from the consumers consuming less than 125 unit power per month, thereby benefitting over 15 lakh consumers of the State.

Jai Ram Thakur thanked the people of the State for extending their wholehearted support during the testing time of Corona pandemic. He said that on the other hand Congress leaders did not spare its own High Command and raised bill of Rs 12 crore, claiming that the expenditure was made by the party workers to provide masks, food packages and sanitizers to the people of the State. He also ridiculed the decision of the Congress for appointing four Working Presidents in a small state like Himachal Pradesh. The Congress was compelled to do this as their several leaders were about to leave this party.  Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated Rs.2.02 crore improvement of distribution system of  lift water supply Scheme Aloh Poonani, Rs. 16.03 crore providing of tap connections to households of Gram Panchayats Saluhi, Kaulapur, Shantla, Dodu and Kuhana under Jal Jeevan Mission, Rs. 2.05 crore improvement of distribution system of lift irrigation scheme Chamukha, Rs. 2.05 crore augmentation of lift irrigation scheme Bari Sanda in tehsil Jaswan,   Rs. 3.42 crore providing of tap connections to households of Bathu Tippari, Bah Dodara, Amroh, Koe Gummi, Bathara, Paghan Bhalwal, Swana Tippari, Bathara Sag, Swarthi, Dada Wan, Dada Kalehar, Nangal Chowk, Bari Sanda, Karoa, Samnoli and Darwa  Amalogar Khanudi water supply schemes, Rs. 1.41 crore providing of tap connections to households of Gram panchayats of Aloh Punani, Tikkar, Bharoli Jadeed, Kudna Garli and Nahan Nagrota under Jal Jeevan Mission and Rs. 1.64 crore providing of tap connections to households of Kasba Kotla, Sansarpur Terrace, Duhki Kasba, Nangal Bassi Patti water supply schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission.  

He also inaugurated Rs. 2.52 crore Shantla to Badwar via Sai road, Rs. 8.48 crore road Choli (Nalhua Da Kuh) to Bharili Jadid including bridge, Rs. 3.87 crore Kaloha Shantla road, Rs. 1.15 crore Dehi Pukhar to Glua via Jole road, Rs. 7.05 crore Bharwain to Kaloha road, Rs. 5.43 crore bridge over Sarda Dogri khad on Kaloha Shantla road, Rs. 2.52 crore improvement of Barnail to Pong Dam road and Badhal to Dhiman Basti via Bohala, Rs. 1.66 crore Kanol to Dhounta road, Rs. 42.90 crore bridge over Swan khad  under CRF and Rs. 2.03 crore 33 KV HT line from Lohla-Malakan to 33KV 1x3.15 MVA Bharoli Jadid. Jai Ram Thakur performed foundation stones laying ceremonies of 20.57 crore  augmentation of Lift Water Supply Scheme Sansarpur Terrace and Kasba Kotla, Rs. 3.80 crore providing of tap connections to households of Garli, Vani, Maniyala, Chanauta and Valiyana group of villages under Jal Jeevan Mission,  Rs. 3.81 crore water supply schemes Duhaki Kasba, Didiyan, Paplothar under Gram Panchayat Rail, Baner, Syul Goraldhar, Ladiyara and Kasba Jagir under Jal Jeevan Mission, Rs. 1.17 crore Lift Water Supply Scheme Kahanpur in tehsil Jaswan, Rs. 2.81 crore Lift Irrigation Scheme Jatoli Kuriyal Khera, Rs. 1.29 crore renovation of Lift Irrigation Scheme Kuhana, Rs. 2.79 crore extension of irrigation schemes Chambakhas, Kuhana, Chamukha, Jol Bhataula and Ladiyara under HIMCAD, Rs. 6.62 crore improvement of sources of water supply schemes of village Pragpur and surrounding areas under Jal Jeevan Mission, Rs. 1.24 crore improvement of source of lift water supply scheme Dadasiba (Dada Wan Dada Kalehar),  Rs. 1.56 crore water supply scheme for industrial area Chanaur and Rs. 1.46 crore water supply scheme for Dodra, Jalera and Mastyal villages. 

Chief Minister also laid foundation stones of Rs. 7.09 crore improvement, widening of Sadwan to Kaleshwar road, two bridges of Rs. 5.32 crore on Bani to Pragpur via Dagrasidh road, Rs. 81 lakh ambulance road from GHS Tiamal to Devidhar, Rs. 72 lakh improvement of Ririkut to Talpian Di Sarai road, Rs. 2.07 crore link road from Kotla Amroh road to Patial Basti, Rs. 1.93 crore Nagoh to Swan khad bridge road, Rs. 1.47 crore Kotla Behar Ghatti Bilwan road to village Khanoreup to Chowki Di Barh, Rs. 69 lakh pucca Bharo to Lower Chalali road, Rs. 78 lakh Sub Treasury office building at Rakkar, Rs. 3.66 crore Division Office building at Kotla Behar and Rs. 11.10 crore 33/11 KV Sub Station Kasba Kotla.Chief Minister was presented a cheque of Rs. 25 lakh by the Industries Minister Bikram Singh Thakur on behalf of the Industries Department and another cheque of Rs 21 lakh on behalf of GIC towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund.Chief Minister was also honoured by various social, political and cultural organizations on the occasion. Industries Minister and local MLA Bikram Singh Thakur while welcoming the Chief Minister to his home constituency thanked him for dedicating developmental projects worth about Rs. 190 crore in his constituency. He thanked the Chief Minister for always being considerate towards the developmental needs of the area. He said that the State Government has started several schemes for the welfare of the people of the State. He said that the people of the State have made up their mind to ensure Mission Repeat of BJP in the State. He also appreciated the efforts of the State Government in effectively tackling the covid-19 pandemic in the State. He detailed various developmental demands of the area and also thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating Rs. 42.90 crore bridge over Swan khad under CRF, which would immensely benefit people of the area.District BJP President Sanjeev Sharma welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion. He also detailed developmental demands of the area. Vice Chairman State Planning Board Ramesh Dhawala, MLA Jawali Arjun Thakur, former MLA Ravinder Singh Ravi, Vice Chairman H.P. Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Dr. Sanjeev Babli, Deputy Commissioner Kangra Dr. Nipun Jindal, Superintendent of Police Dr.  Khushal Sharma were present on the occasion among others.
