Many singers, filmmakers, and directors arrived and grabbed the headlines for their amazing work. The channel that always serves us with enlightening content and knows how to engage its audience with infotainment work has recently announced another song. Titled ‘Three Girls On Canvas’ is based on the painting of acclaimed artist Amrita Shergill. This painting has bagged the Gold Medal Award from the Bombay Art Society.
Hence, artist Amrita is a gold medalist Hungarian-Indian painter whose paintings are based on young girls, poverty, and many other social issues specially handled by women. Her work is much loved by people and till now also people get inspired from her. One of her paintings, Bride's Toilet was inspired by the traditional Ajanta murals and was part of the artist's South Indian trilogy. The reason why the makers chose Amrita Shergill and her work ‘Three Girls’ is to differentiate the audience between novelist Amrita Pritam and painter Amrita Shergill. Raavi Punjab always came up with unique concepts.
Now, coming back to the song ‘Three Girls On Canvas’, the poster reveals that the three colourfully dressed women are pondering a destiny they are unable to change. Amrita Shergill did not sensualise her women but instead portrayed them as facing great hardship yet having the spirit to surpass a destiny that they were unable to change. However, the team has shared the teaser of the song through which you can receive a hint about the track.
Now, all we have to wait for is the release date i.e., 6 May 2022 to see how the director Gurjyot Baweja has represented the song whereas Jaspreet Singh handled the camera part. Now coming to the credits, the upcoming revolutionary song has been crooned by Harf Kaur to which music has been given by Mohit Kashyap. Further, Three Girls On Canvas has been penned and composed by Kavinder Chand while the song has been produced by Karanvir Singh Sibia. The film by JJ Production will be presented under the label of Raavi Punjab and Akal Production.
Moreover, three women who will be featured in the song are Rajinder Reet who will be essaying the role of Amrita, Gagan Deep Kaur as Beant Kaur, and Muskan as Gurbhajan Kaur. Further, Priyanka and Sidak will be portraying Nirvair Kaur and the song will also depict a teacher that will be essayed by Sardarni Aishar Singh.As the name suggests, it's a folk song and a tribute to gold medalist Amrita Shergill who left the world in 1941.
