Election Observers Held Meeting With Representatives Of Political Parties And Senior Officials Of District Administration

Election Observers for district SAS Nagar deputed by the Election Commission of India regarding Vidhan Sabha elections today held a meeting with representatives of political parties and senior District Administration officials at conference hall of District Adminstrative Complex , here today. Also present in the meeting were District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Isha Kalia, SSP Mr. Harjeet Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Komal Mittal, Assistant Expenditure Supervisor and District Level Nodal Officers of various election related committees. 

In the meeting IPS Mr. Varun Kapoor Police Observer and General Observer for Assembly constituencies 52-Kharar IAS Mr. Mohammad Zubair Ali Hashmi, 53-SAS Nagar for General Observer IAS Mr. K. Mahesh and 112-Derabass for General Observer IAS Mr. Ajay Gupta participated.During the meeting, representatives of political parties interacted with the Election Observers.  Election observers appealed the political parties to follow the instructions and rules of the Election Commission of India so that the elections could be conducted in a free and fair manner.  They also asked the representatives of the political parties to get the prior approval of the Media Certification and Media Monitoring Committee regarding the advertisements / banners / pamphlets etc.  They also interacted with the nodal officers of various committees and issued various instructions.
