Many residents of Mohali villages constituency distributed ladoos to express their happiness, after  the announcement of senior Akali leader Parminder Singh Sohana as the Akali Dal and BSP candidate from Mohali constituency by Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal.The reason behind their happiness lied in the contribution made by Parminder Sohana while representing the villages while being a member of Zila Parishad.  Akali Dal supporters also have the same feeling as they got local candidate after a long time for Mohali constituency. Parminder Singh Sohana has started meeting local Akali leaders.

Parminder Singh Sohana  was also  the MD of Laborfed and a member of Zila Parishad. Parminder Singh Sohana is fully active Mohali city to help the residents of the city in every possible way .  Parminder Singh Sohana's  wife Harjinder Kaur , is  the current councilor so  urban vote will also be casted in favor of Parminder Singh Sohana .He has played   crucial role against black farming laws from the beginning in Mohali . His presence has been witnessed  in the series of hunger strikes outside Gurdwara Singh Shaheed against black laws.Perminder Singh Sohana  while talking to his supporters   said that the Congress government and the Congress MLA have not done  anything productive in  Mohali constituency . He thanked the residents to believe in him and assured them to work for them tirelessly in future also .
