With the commitment for holistic development of the youth, the Punjab Youth Development Board in synergy with District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises has taken a big initiative to organize job fairs across Punjab on every Friday to ensure employment to youth.Apprising about the details, Punjab Youth Development Board Chairman Sukhwinder Singh Bindra said that Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Sports Minister Pargat Singh, who himself was an ace international hockey player, have made a concerted effort to organize sports tournaments in Punjab to eradicate drug menace and provide constructive guidance to the youth. He said that only by bringing the youth on the side of sports can the drug menace be eradicated from the state. He added that the Board has made efforts to construct three sports stadiums in Sahnewal constituency with Corporate Social Responsibility Fund (CSR), out of which one stadium has been completed while two others are under construction.

Talking about the measures to be taken to thwart the possible third wave of COVID, Mr. Bindra said that a special vaccination campaign would be launched to get vaccinated the youth between the age group of 15 to 18. He said that the board also conducted 900 vaccination camps and awarded certificates of appreciation to over a thousand doctors. He said that during the lockdown, the board had distributed 2500 PPE Kits with the help of CSR fund during the Lockdown and provided insurance up to Rs 25 lakh to Corona Warriors.On this ocassion newly appointed Vice Chairman Jatinder Bobby, Board Member Amit Sharma, Akashdeep Singh Lalli and Advocate Lakhbir Singh, Deputy Director Youth Services Department Dr. Kanwaljit SIngh Sidhu & Assistant Director Rupinder Kaur, Nitin Arora, Satinderpal SIngh Ahluwalia, Advocate Jashan Gill and Akhil Suri were present.
