On eve of world disability day, Humanity welfare organisation helpline Bijbehara in collaboration with District Social Welfare Office organised a programme to highlight the achievements and abilities of Persons with Disabilities at Dak bungalow, here.Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla was the guest of honour on the occassion.Sujahat Farhan, Project Coordinator presented the inaugural address and highlighted the importance of 3rd December i.e. World Disability Day. Moreover, he presented the accomplishments carried out by the organisation for the empowerment and rehabilitation of Persons with disabilities.Mir Wajahat secretary DLSA Anantnag, Rafia Hassan Khaki Sub Judge Bijbehara, Dr. Syed Farhat Ahmad DSWO, Syed Yasir ACR Anantnag attended the event.Students of Zaiba Appa Institute of Inclusive Education Bijbehara participated in many cultural activities and showcased their talent.Dr. Piyush Singla, in his speech congratulated the whole team of Humanity welfare organisation for their commendable services.On the occasion, an amount of Rupees 1 lakh was announced in favour of an organization for equipping the children with disabilities with their requirements.The team and staff members were felicitated by awards as a token of appreciation from the organization for their hard work and dedication towards the special children.
