The 132nd birthday of the country's first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was celebrated by offering flowers of reverence in Sarabha Nagar area of ??Ludhiana. On this occasion, Congress workers also distributed laddus to the people.On this occasion, Pawan Dewan, Chairman, Punjab Large Industrial Development Board said that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had laid the foundation of this country. He laid the foundation of places like Bhakra Dam, PAU which the country is still proud of.

Along with this, he took a jibe at the current Narendra Modi government and said that on one hand Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had worked for the strength of the country, on the other hand the Narendra Modi government is weakening the country day by day. Big institutions of the country, including the BJP government, railway stations and airports, are being handed over to private hands. He has even handed over Air India to private hands.Pawan Dewan appealed to the Congress workers to take the message of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru from door to door so that the country could once again move on the path of progress. Satwinder Jawaddi, Inderjit Kapoor, Jasbir Singh Jassal, Vivek Mago, Deepak Hans, Rohit Pahwa, Rajneesh Chopra, Chaman Lal Pappi, Dinesh Singla, Charanjit Singh, Azad Sharma, Anil Kumar, Sudhir Syal were also present among others.
