Deputy Commissioner Reasi Charandeep Singh today held an Interactive session with BDCs/DDCs and PRIs regarding the launch of IEC Campaign on Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani, here in the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex.Additional District Development Commissioner, Jyoti Salathia; ADC Abdul Star; CPO Sunita Kanchan; ACR Sanjay Badyal; ACD Anirudh Rai and other district officers also attended the interactive session.Speaking on the occasion, the DC informed the PRIs about the Land Record Information System and said that now public users can search and view copies of scanned data online on CIS portal:- http://landrecords.jk.gov.in/.
“The initiative will facilitate easy online access to the Land Records System, thereby reducing manipulation of the Land records and improving the efficiency of Revenue offices substantially” he added. He said that under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP), the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has achieved an important milestone to provide the most transparent and accountable services to the common people.He said that the main aim is to enhance transparency in the Land records maintenance system and reduce scope of land/property disputes and facilitate conclusive title to immovable properties.
