Department of Horticulture today organized a farmers’ awareness camp here at village Mohu Lower of  Khari of Sub Division Ramsu.The camp was graced by PRI members of the adjoining Panchayat besides a large number of farmers and locals. Horticulture Development Officer Banihal, Rajesh Gupta, and Horticulture Technicians, Mohd Yaseen interacted with the farmers and educated them about different techniques and farm centric schemes.The District Level Subject Matter Specialist,  Pardeep Gupta sensitised the farmers about the Government sponsored schemes and initiatives taken by the department to enhance horticulture production in the district. 

He also imparted the now-how of modern techniques of horticulture farming to scale up the production of different horticulture crops. He also sought suggestions from the farmers for providing hassle free service to the farming community besides addressing complaints and grievances in an effective manner.Meanwhile, PRI members also spoke on the occasion and exhorted the participants to avail maximum benefits from the CSS and state sector schemes of the Horticulture Department.The farmers appreciated the efforts made by the department for holding such awareness camps which were held under the guidance of Chief Horticulture Officer Ramban,  Vaishno Kant Gupta.
