A day marked by extensive field work was spent by students of Nutrition & Dietetics Department and MBA Department of CGC Jhanjeri wherein they conducted live survey in Saketri, Panchkulla. Students created questionnaires with the objective to collect data related to financial strength, daily nutrition intake and personal hygiene maintained by people living there. The need for nutritious food and maintaining personal hygiene is more important than ever before  as the world is battling COVID.Faculty  of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri also  shared latest knowledge on how people can keep their immunity high and maintain a healthy living in times of pandemic  besides discussing the common types of hygiene include personal hygiene, water hygiene, food hygiene, and hygiene during waste handling. 

After the  analysis and conclusion on collected  data , the compiled report will be handed over to Counsellor Hon’ble Narender Lubana.Speaking on the occasion, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC Jhanjeri said that people with adequate nutrition are more productive and can create opportunities to gradually break the cycles of poverty and hunger. Malnutrition, in every form, presents significant threats to human health. Today the world faces a double burden of malnutrition that includes both undernutrition and overweight, especially in low- and middle-income countries.He further added that the pandemic is a strong reminder of the importance of maintaining strong education systems that support the interlinked objectives of education and health for all children and adolescents leaving no one behind, in normal circumstances as well as during emergency situations like this pandemic.
