Maximum complete immunization of masses would ensure herd immunity among people thus averting the deadliest effects of the next wave of Covid-19 pandemic, whenever it hits, said Additional Deputy Commissioner (D) Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal while presiding over the meeting about COVID management. The ADC said that the district SAS Nagar is heading towards 100 percent vaccination with both doses and the target will be accomplished till October end. He said that we were fortunate that our scientists have developed vaccines to win over this war against the invisible enemy, and now it is our responsibility to come forward for the jabs. He stated that those avoiding or skipping this duty, putting their families at risk adding all of us must volunteer in this drive. 

Lauding the efforts of Health Officials, Dr. Aggarwal said that NGOs have been playing a proactive role in this mammoth exercise by creating awareness among people and facilitating them with mobile vaccination camps. He assured the health officials of full support from the district administration in its future endeavors to realize the goal of inoculating with second dose to all eligible beneficiaries in the district.The ADC also appealed to people to come forward for the vaccination in huge numbers, especially encouraging youths to bring their parents to the camps so that maximum safety of this vulnerable group could be ensured at the earliest. He also mentioned that the district administration has ensured maximum vaccination and sampling to keep the virus at bay.
