Poshan Mah started today in this border district with a promotional rally organised by the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS).The Poshan rally was also taken out to spread the awareness regarding intake of balance diet by children, Adolescent girls, pregnant ladies and lactating mothers so that malnutrition, stunting, low birth weight and anaemia could be minimised among the targets groups.The rally started from Dak bungalow Poonch and culminated at Dungas.Earlier, the Programme Officer, ICDS, Dr. Mohd Tanveer Khan- the chief Guest inaugurated the Month long campaign and highlighted the benefits of the schemes, Poshan abhiyaan and PMMVY. He impressed upon all field functionaries to work with full dedication to extend the benefits of schemes to eligible persons.District Social Welfare Officer, Shakeel Ahmed; CDPO Jahangir Khan; Supervisors, Anganwari workers, Helpers besides other concerned officers/officials were present on the occasion.
