Chief Operating Officer, Himayat, Department of Rural Development, Kapil Sharma, today released annual activity report 2020-21 of National Academy of RUDSETI for Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and LadakhPertinently, the National Academy of RUDSETI was established in April 2009 in response to an emerging need for capacity building and mentoring RUDSET Institute and Rural Self Employment Training Institutes being created by different Banks across the country. NAR works as the National Level Resource Organization for RUDSETIs and RSETIs and conducts research and development work in the field of Entrepreneurship Development. It undertakes projects in Enterprise Promotion, Rural Development, Technology Transfer and imparting Human Resource Development. NAR also acts as an advisory to policy makers relating to Enterprise Promotion and Rural Development.Besides, it had become necessary to have 3rd Party assessment of trainings being imparted to the candidates and for this purpose National Academy of RUDSETI (NAR) set up a separate Assessment & Certification vertical. Accordingly, office of the Assistant Controller has been established across the whole country to take care of the aspect of 3rd party assessment.Rajat Otreja, Assistant Controller, NAR, presented a brief account of activities undertaken in the UTs of J&K and Ladakh.Speaking on the occasion, Kapil Sharma said that this vertical has completed 138 batches of assessment successfully in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir as well as Ladakh and certified 2076 rural poor youth on successful completion of assessment in 2020-2021.Manju Gupta, VP J&K Bank; Anil Dhiwani, DGM RSETI, SBI; N. Sathiyamoorthy, Director General NAR; BC Saha, NDR, NACER; RR Singh, Controller Assessment and Certification, NAR; Alok Modi, , Controller Assessment and Certification, NAR; Ashok K Razdan, SDR, UTs J&K and Ladakh were present on the occasion while all RSETIs Directors and faculty of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh participated online.
