The Punjab Government organized a simple function adhering to Covid norms at Anaj Mandi Longowal on the occasion of the 36th death anniversary of the Shaheed Sant Harchand Singh Logowal. Punjab Cabinet Ministers Sadhu Singh Dharamsot and Vijay Inder Singla presented floral tributes to Sant Harchand Singh Longowal.  Minister Dharamsot said that supreme sacrifice of Sant Harchand Singh Logonwal has ensured unity and integrity of the country which will be remembered by the coming generations. He said that it was the sacrifice of Sant Harchand Singh Longowal which had once again unified the country against the divisive forces.Cabinet Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot said that Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh has conveyed his message through them that respect the martyrs must be ensured at every cost.  He said Capt. Amarinder Singh specially sent him and cabinet minister Vijay Inder Singla to pay homage to Sant Harchand Singh to honor his sacrifice for the nation. He said that Captain Government has always been working hard to unite the people of all faiths on a single platform.

After paying tributes to Sant Harchand Singh Longowal and his thinking, Mr. Vijay Inder Singla said that Sant Longowal had taken the initiative of Rajiv-Longowal accord for the progress of Punjab.  He said that Sant Harchand Singh Longowal had made a significant contribution for the progress and peace of Punjab and Punjabiyat.  He said that the purpose of Sant Longowal's life was to maintain peace and unity in Punjab but at that time the divisive forces assassinated Sant Longowal. Mr. Singla said that Sant Longowal rohse above politics and worked for the betterment of mankind.  He said that Sant Longowal had followed Sikh principles and sacrificed his life for public service.  He said that martyrdom of such immortal martyrs was a beacon for the people especially the youth and Punjab government was working hard to spread their message to door to door.On the occasion, Congress leader Daman Thind Bajwa, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ramvir, SSP Mr. Vivek Sheel Soni, Mr. Harman Dev Bajwa, SDM Mr. Amarinder Singh, SP Alam Vijay Singh along with other leaders, workers and officials were also present.
