Punjab School Education Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla handed over appointment letters to 80 newly appointed employees in the Education Department and Public Works Department. During the 75th Independence Day celebrations at Police Line Sangrur, the Cabinet Minister said that these employees have been appointed in various posts in the school education department on compassionate basis including one Social Science teacher, one SST Teacher, an E.T.T.  Teacher, 13 Clerks, 4 SLAs, 14 Peons, 2 Chowkidars and 2 Sweepers.Apart from this, the Cabinet Minister also handed over appointment letters to 42 employees of PWD on compassionate grounds including clerk, steno-typist, junior draftsman and class IV employees.Addressing the newly recruited employees, Mr. Vijay Inder Singla said that though the loss of the deceased employees could not be compensated but by giving regular appointments to their family members, the government has fulfilled its promise of providing respectable means of livelihood to the dependents.  He expressed that these newly recruited employees would live up to the expectations of the government with their hard work and sincerity. The Cabinet Minister said that under the visionary leadership of the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, the Punjab Government has introduced several reforms and policies to enhance the quality of school education in the state.  He added that with the regular efforts of their government, Punjab has become a leader in the field of school education across the country and several other states have also started following the policies of the Punjab government.
