With the establishment of Chandigarh Law College at its campus, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri has ventured into imparting of legal education domain from the current academic session 2021-22. This was informed by Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) during an interaction. The newly established Chandigarh Law College has been approved by Bar Council of India and is affiliated to Punjabi University would offer 2 Under-Graduate 5years Integrated Programs BA-LLB (120 seats) and B.Com-LLB (60 seats) while the institution would offer one Post-Graduate 3-year degree program LLB for the graduate students.Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC said “The law programs offered by CGC Jhanjeri would offer practical hands-on learning by the renowned academicians and law experts from all over the world. Chandigarh Law College has established state-of-art infrastructure which includes Moot Court Room where the students will be able to draft & practice the real-time presentation of the court room under the guidance of experienced lawyers”. In addition CGC Jhanjeri would also offer specializations in emerging areas such as Cyber Laws, International Laws, Corporate Laws, Taxation Laws, RTI, Human Right and Environment Laws so that the budding legal professionals can enhance the scope of their career, Dhaliwal added.“Chandigarh Group of Colleges has always been known for imparting industry oriented academic learning where every student is exposed to the case-study based teaching so that they are able to acclimatize as per the dynamic requirements of the industry. He further added that, “Chandigarh Law College will have an in-house Legal Aid Clinic that will offer free-of-cost legal advise to the residents of nearby villages especially women so as to make them aware about the legal rights that the Constitution of India has given to them”.
