The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone today convened a meeting of concerned health officers to review the progress of on-going Covid vaccination in the district. It was informed in the meeting that 27346 persons have been vaccinated so far in the district. It was also given out in the meeting that 182913 first and second doses have been administered to Health Care Workers, Front Line Workers and citizens above 45 year age.The ADC was informed that the vaccination process is simultaneously going on in all 10 Medical blocks of the district including Handwara, Kalaroose, Tangdar, Kralpora, Kupwara, Langate, Sogam, Trehgam, Vilgam and Zachaldara.The ADC stressed upon the concerned officers to speed up the process of vaccination and ensure cent percent coverage of the target population. He said that the District Administration with active support of Health, ICDS and Education departments are putting all possible efforts to ensure achievement of vaccination targets within the stipulated time frame. Chief Medical Officer Kupwara, Kausar Amin, Dy. CMO, Block Medical Officers and other concerned attended the meeting.
