The District Administration Kupwara today distributed covid assistance cheques among the registered labourers of the district.On the occasion, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone handed over cheques worth Rs.3.24 crore to Manager, Jammu and Kashmir Bank for onward disbursement among 32400 registered labourers of district Kupwara as COVID assistance, at a function held here.It was informed that the assistance shall be provided at the rate of Rs.1000 to each beneficiary.Assistant Labour Commissioner Kupwara, Rabia Iqbal, Labour officer Nandni pandita, Bank Manager, Old Chowk Kupwara Ruhail Afzal and other concerned were present.
