Member Parliament Chaudhary Santokh Singh on Thursday urged youths to spread the slogan of 3T- Test, Trace, and Treat to the farthest corners of the Jalandhar District as Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today promulgated this slogan in a virtual event aimed at interacting with the youths to engage them in the war against this pandemic. Member Parliament Chaudhry Santokh Singh accompanied by MLAs Sushil Rinku, Rajinder Beri, Mayor Jagdish Raja, and Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that with active participation of youngsters the spread of this virus could be stemmed in the rural areas. They stated that testing, tracing and treatment are the only solution to keep villages from the ill-effects of this disease.They also mentioned that the group of seven rural Corona volunteers (RCVs) would be formed in each village to further strengthen the initiatives to contain virus spread. Meanwhile, 'I AM VACCINATED' stickers and batches were launched during the event, which would be displayed on the vehicles of persons who have got themselves vaccinated to further promote the vaccination drive in the district.They said that RCVs would visit their respective villages and educate people about the benefits of timely testing and vaccination to contain the disease.The Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori stated that the administration was making all out efforts to keep virus spread under check in the district as a result the pandemic is on downward trend.
