The Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal today lauded services rendered by senior Akali leader and MLA Mr. NK Sharma for COVID patients in Dera Bassi assembly segment.Talking to media during a visit to COVID Centre at Sharma farm house set up by Mr. NK Sharma, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that Congress government led by Capt. Amarinder Singh has miserably failed to provide COVID care facilities to people in the state and same is the condition in this assembly segment. He said that Akali leadership when witnessed failure of the Amarinder Singh Government came forward to help people in this hour of pandemic. He said that what Mr. NK Sharma has done for people is unparallel in history of DeraBassi Assembly segment. He said that he has spent a huge amount of money to serve humanity from this segment. He said that if Mr. Sharma had not taken this initiative then people of the area would have suffered a lot.Mr. Badal said that state government should step up testing and vaccination process in the state. He said that government has miserably failed to take care of people.He also lauded isolation services being rendered by NK Sharma team in their isolation centre.Meanwhile Mr. NK Sharma said that they had launched 100 bed COVID care centre on May 1 and till date they have been successful in taking care of hundreds of patients. He said that this centre has 13 Oxygen Concentrators, 20 Oxygen beds aprt from other facilities. He also said that his team was delivering food packets to COVID sick patients at their door steps apart from medicines.
