Martyr Amardeep Singh from village Karamgarh, who laid his life for the mother land in Siachen, was paid tributes during his antim ardas ceremony today. SDM Mr Varjeet Walia and Col Vijay Kumar, OSD Directorate Defence Services Chandigarh game chest of Rs 5 lakh Ex gratia compensation to the family of market bus stop decide this Rs 25000 cheque was separately given during the bhog ceremony held today.Expressing heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family SDM Varjeet arjeet Walia said that the district administration was with family in this hour of grief. He said that at a very young age martyr Amardeep had lost his life while guarding the nation.It is pertinent to mention here that 23 years old the poet Amardeep Singh son of Manjeet Singh Langhi lost his life in the Siachen Glacier on April 25 while on duty. Punjab government has announced Rs 50 lakh ex gratia  compensation and job to the next of kin in the family.Prominent among others present at the antim Ardas ceremony included Ravinder Singh superintendent district Defence Services Welfare Office Barnala, Captain Sukhpal Singh, 21 Punjab Regiment Havaldar Sukhpal Singh, Nayak Gurjant Singh, Subedar Sajjan Singh and Hawaldar Darshan Singh.
