Chairman, HP Public Service Commission, Maj. Gen. (Retd.) DVS Rana along with Dr. Rachna Gupta, Member of Commission called on Governor Bandaru Dattatraya at Raj Bhawan here today. He presented 49th Annual Report for the year 2019-20 to the Governor.He said that the Commission has adopted on-line system with modern technology, which brings this Institute in the category of other top states of the country. He added that the Commission has made several suggestions and proposals to strengthen the interview and other examination system so that it could be improved further.The Chairman briefed about the working of the Commission covering the period from 01.04.2019 to 31.03.2020. He said during the period, the Commission conducted 10 preliminary/main examination and 36 screening tests for recruitment to various posts/ services under State Government and 738 candidates were recommended in various department for appointments to the posts of Himachal Administrative Services and other class-I, II and III. It was also told that 18 Recruitment and promotion Rules and 61 amendments in the rules were approved by the Commission during the period.The Governor appreciated the efforts of the Commission. He also honoured the Chairman for his commendable services in the Commission.Secretary, HPPSC Ashutosh Garg was also present on the occasion.
