Chandigarh Group of Colleges Organizes CONVERGE’21 to Unveil its Ultra-modern Incubation Centre

Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran launched a state-of-the-art incubation centre as an extension to their Department of Research, Innovation, Sponsored Projects and Entrepreneurship (RISE). With its establishment, the institute is all set to give a new dimension to the research facilities in the campus. To celebrate this moment, they organized a special event CONVERGE’21with the aim to accelerate the cycle of entrepreneurial activity, nurture vibrant communities and build talent. The Chief Guest Mr. Deepinder Dhillon, Joint Director, Invest Punjab shared “It’s rejoicing to see that young minds are increasingly inclining towards initiating their start-ups and getting involved in research and innovation. I urge students to register with Startup Punjab and attain the benefits of their association. Mohali is fast becoming the hub of research and Information Technology and thus, imbibes humongous scope for the youngsters to make strides in the field of their choice.”Student teams presented their unique business ideas and the Alumni of the institute, those who have carved their names as successful entrepreneurs in various spheres, judged them on various parameters. The event led the budding entrepreneurs to gain visibility among potential consumers and investors. The winning teams also garnered funding from potential investors. Expressing their appreciation towards the impressive ideas of the students, Chairman CGC Satnam Singh Sandhu and President  Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal said, “This centre will provide students with an ultra-modern platform to undertake research and implement their creative instincts into channelizing their inner calling. We will ensure that the spirit of entrepreneurship keeps growing among the students of our institute.”
