Footnotes was nominated for the coveted Paris Film Festival 2021 for Best Original Score by Hyacinth D'Souza. In the Indie Short Fest at the Los Angeles International Film Festival 2021, the film was nominated for two categories namely, Best Actor for Vikram Kochhar and Best Director for Monjoy Mukerji. At the recent Calcutta International Cult Film Festival, Footnotes has won awards in five categories including Best Actor for Vikram Kochhar ( Outstanding Achievement Award ), Best Romantic Short, Best Short Film ( Outstanding Achievement Award ), Best Editing Award for Sunil Yadav and Best Sound Designing Award for Jatin Sharma. As per the latest reports, the romantic short has even won several awards at the Bhutan International Film Festival 2021. Footnotes has also been officially selected for Five Continents International Film Festival, Venezuela in 2021 in four categories.
