DC Reasi flags off farmers’ Exposure visit to outside UT

A group of 39 farmers of District Reasi was today flagged off by District Development Commissioner Reasi, Indu Kanwal Chib for exposure visit cum Training to outside state under Sub Mission on Agriculture Extension (SMAE).Chief Agriculture Officer Reasi, Ravinder Thaploo; District Agriculture Officer (Ext.), Dharmari; Rajesh Verma and other officers of Department of Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare, Reasi were also present.While interacting with the farmers, Deputy Commissioner enjoined upon them to learn the latest technology & interventions at the Centres of Excellence where they will be visiting during this tour programme & replicate the same in their fields. She also advised them to share their knowledge with fellow farmers in their areas after returning back. She asked them to acquaint themselves about the technologies, methods /machinery used for scientific cultivation, organic farming, vegetable cultivation and value additions which has greatly boosted the economic condition of these farmers.The Chief Agriculture Officer urged the farmers to get updated on different operational activities being followed by the farmers in Agriculture & allied sectors so that same is replicated in district Reasi.Rajesh Verma, District Agriculture Officer (Ext.),Dharmari(Nodal Officer ATMA), also gave detail of various institutions/organizations being visited by the farmers during the visit. Rakesh Sharma and Pankaj Sharma AEA & ATM  are accompanying the farmers during the visit.
