DC Ganderbal reviews MahaShivratri arrangements

The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today chaired a meeting to review arrangements for smooth conduct of forthcoming MahaShivratri festival.During the meeting, various arrangements including availability of essential commodities, adequate provision of health, drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, sanitation and other related arrangements were discussed.The DDC directed the concerned officers to ensure that Kashmiri Pandit devotees from different areas are provided with all the requisite facilities from the district administration well on time.CMO was asked to ensure availability of ambulance at Kheer Bhawani Tulmullah with first aid facilities and medical and para-medical staff.Moreover, AD food was asked to make food grains and other essential food commodities available in adequate quantity.Regarding security, ASP was asked to make fool proof security arrangements as per past practice in and around the Kheer Bhawani Temple.The DDC directed the officials for maintenance of uninterrupted power and water supply. He also directed concerned officers for making arrangements with regard to adequate quality of walnuts, vegetables, groceries, fish, fresh flowers and other related facilities at all Kashmiri Pandit habitations on the occasion of the festival.The meeting was attended by ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, ASP Ganderbal, AD Food, ARTO, Executive Engineers JKPDCL and Jal Shakti, AD Fisheries, DIO Ganderbal, members of Dharmarth Trust and other concerned officers.
