DC Kishtwar reviews functioning of Jal Shakti Department

Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today reviewed the functioning of the Jal Shakti department here at a meeting.The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal; Superintendent Engineer, Doda circle, Rajan Sharma; District Social Welfare Officer, Tariq Parveaz Qazi; Chief Education Officer,  Ashok Kumar; Chief Medical Officer, Dr R S Manhas; XEn Jal Shakti, Anil Gahlot, BDO,  Drabshala, Sobia Fatima Shad, besides other officials.During the meeting, the DC took stock of the physical and financial status each project undertaken by the Jal Shakti Department and passed a slew of directions.The SE gave a detailed account of the status of various works and the bottlenecks faced by the executing agencies.The DC asked the department to expedite the pace of the work without compromising the quality and other parameter and ensure that not a single habitation is left uncovered under the scheme.In order to ensure the effective functioning of the department, he asked to rationalise the staff  to meet the dearth of field functionaries in different areas..He further directed XEn to complete the work of providing tap water connections to the left out schools in the district ahead of the opening of the schools.
