Chief Secretary takes stock of action plan for Golden Jubilee celebrations of Statehood

Chief Secretary Anil Khachi presided over the review meeting of action plan for Golden Jubilee celebrations of Statehood, here today. He took stock of action plan proposed by various departments for Golden Jubilee celebrations to be organised all over the year to commemorate 50 years of Statehood. During the meeting, the officers of various departments proposed the ideas.Chief Secretary directed the officers of various Departments to constitute designated team with defined roles and responsibilities for execution of proposed action plan. He asked the officers to also prepare action plan for organising activities at State, district and block level.He said the Ayurveda Department would organise a State Level Ayush Aarogya Mela, awareness campaign on benefits of medicinal plants, showcasing recognized practices of Ayurveda and swarnajayanti Ayush guide would be published.Energy Department would organise a FAM trip to hydel projects of the State for tourists to familiarize tourists with working projects.  An Urja Pragati Vahan annd Pragati Vahan showcasing the developmental journey of Energy Department would also be flagged off. He said that Urban Development Department would initiate a campaign on making municipalities of Himachal Pradesh Open Defecation Free (ODF++) and activities related to strengthening of agriculture sector would also be organised.Shri Khachi asked the officers of State Youth Services and Sports Department to identify unconquered peaks, so that a team could be send to summit it. He said that a swarnjayanti ice skating rink has also been proposed to mark the occasion. A documentary based on success stories of War Heroes would be produced and people of the state who brought laurels to the State would also be honoured.  Swachtta Pakwada and special programmes involving SHGs would also be organised. He also directed to ensure proper publicity of the events being organised by various Departments.Administrative Secretaries were also present in the meeting.
