Fish farmers group flagged off for tour at Kupwara

The District Administration, Kupwara headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone today flagged off a group of 25 private fish farmers for training cum exposure tour from D.C. Office, here.The farmers are scheduled to visit National Fisheries Farm (NFF) Mansbal to get training and exposure that shall help them to promote growth of their fish farms.On the occasion, the ADC said that the tour shall prove instrumental in helping the fish farmers to grow their production at commercial level, to boost their income.The AD Fisheries, Sajad Ahmad said that the department is committed towards maximising the farmers welfare through various schemes and the training programme is meant to guide the farmers for growing their farms on scientific lines thereby improving their standard of living.
