The District Administration Anantnag, under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC), KK Siddha today resumed the Block Diwas (public outreach programme) at Sub Division Kokernag.The camp was attended by PRI members including BDC chairpersons, Sarpanches and panches and a large number of local people from the adjacent villages besides Auqaf Committees, civil society members and prominent citizens of the sub division who raised their issues and demands before the chair.The demands raised by the visiting people included snow clearance in Panzgam, Gadool Keharpora and other areas, establishment of ATM and health centre in Zalangam and dispensary in Gadool, construction of Halpora Dodkal Bridge and repairment of roads, ambulance,  X Ray machine and lady doctor for PHC Larnoo, Panchayat ghar for Luhur senzi, protection bund for Brengi Nallah in Khalhar etc.The DDC heard the issues and demands of the public patiently and assured for redressal of grievances of public importance. He said that due to inclement weather conditions and heavy snow fall the scheduled camps could not be held in the last week so the importance of todays programme has increased.He directed SDM and PRI’s for close coordination to ensure prompt delivery of essential services and also issued on spot directions to the concerned officers for redressal of genuine demands and grievances of public importance.Siddha said that it would prove very beneficial when PRI members formulate and implement the plan as per the local needs.Among others SDM Kokernag, Tehsildars of Larnoo, Kokernag, BDOs of Breng, Sagam, Larnoo, BDC Breng, PRI members  and sectoral officers were present on the occasion.Similar Block Divas cum redressal camps were held at District Head Quarter Anantnag and Sub Division Bijbehara under the Chairmanship of ADC (S) and ADC (G) respectively, while at Subdivisions Dooru and Pahalgam under the chairmanship of SDM Dooru and ACR Anantnag respectively.
