DC Anantnag flags off participants for Snow Skiing course

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, K.K Sidha today flagged off a group of 09 girl students from Sports Stadium Anantnag for Snow Skiing course at Gulmarg organised by Directorate of Youth Services and Sports J&K for 15 days.The DC directed the concerned to ensure safety and security of the students during the training course and make all necessary arrangements including boarding, heating and health care facilities for the students at the venue.He also advised the students to coordinate with the escort (PE) teacher, maintain discipline and wear warm clothes and face masks during the training period.Siddha reiterated his commitment for encouraging sports potential among the youth especially the girls in the district. He lauded the efforts of DYSSO Anantnag for facilitating participation of students from the district in such events. He also desired for organisation of such events in Aru, Pahalgam.Meanwhile, the students are scheduled to participate in basic, intermediate and advanced levels of the Skiing course. Among others, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Zonal officers and other field officials of YSS department Anantnag were present on the occasion.
