The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, K. K. Sidha today visited various markets of Anantnag Town to ensure availability of essential commodities like ration, LPG ,medicines and other essentials on Government prescribed rates,.He also monitored the snow clearance operations, restoration of electricity and water supply on the occasion.During the visit he seized two shops for encroachment of the footpath causing difficulties to the common people passing through the footpath.The DC warned the shopkeepers to keep footpaths open for the general public and any violation in this regard shall be seriously dealt with.Moreover, the Municipal Council and line departments have been directed to ensure prompt delivery of essential items and services to the general public and to address their emergency demands with utmost preparedness.The DC during the visit was accompanied by ADC, ACR and Chairman Municipal Council Anantnag besides other concerned officers.
