In a bid to improve Mohali's pathetic conditions and to connect to ground level masses, Punjab Democratic Party's founder  Guru Kripal Singh Mann Invited like minded parties  to form Punjab Democratic Alliance ahead of Mohali Municipal Corporation elections.Mann, at a press conference held at Chandigarh Press Club today, called the intellectual class citizens of Mohali city to join with them. He appealed to like minded educated , innocent ,intellectual people to join  the party to defeat dominant political parties who enjoy power instead of using it for public welfare. In the next Mohali Municipal Corporation elections, the party announced its five candidates -- Amarjeet Singh Walia from ward number four, Harpal Singh from ward number 20 Balwinder Singh Balli from ward number 36 Gurbakhsh Singh from ward number 50 Announced to contest Ravindra Kaur Gill from ward number 35.Mann further said that property tax is a burning issue in Mohali as the government is charging a tax of 7:50 percent. He further revealed that the local governing failed to use funds for fixing poor condition of roads and seeting a waste plant.Mann said that property tax should be taken on the lines of Chandigarh so that the businessmen of Mohali would get some relief in the pandemic hit times.

And especially all Mohali villagedls should be exempted from property tax. All candidates with Vinod Pathak, Narinder Singh and Malkit Singh were also present.Just a few days ago Amarjit Singh Walia, speaker of the political party, along with his supporters, announced to contest the Mohali Municipal Corporation elections under the party banner. Mann said that it is the strategy of different established political parties that during their tenure they keep looting and befooling people for four years and in the last year by accepting few demands they win sympathy of voters again. These parties harm every section of society including farmers, small traders, young people. He further said that our aim is to bring forth clean, educated and innocent individuals." This election is being fought as a pilot project and the main target is to contest the 2022 assembly elections to give a new direction to the politics of Punjab," said Mann.He also called for opposing Gundaraj and family nepotism carried out by different political parties. Speaking about the warard segregation by Municipal Corporation Mohali, Maan said that this warding has been done in a very hooliganistic mannern and out of public dignity, on the voice of the rulling party. He said that currently 10 candidates have been prepared by the party for the election of Municipal Corporation Mohali and in the coming days more candidates will be prepared as they intend to fight in almost all the seats.
