On the completion of 76th of the ongoing Hockey Coaching Camp run by Surjit Hockey Society here at  Surjit Hockey Stadium, Karnesh Sharma, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Commissioner today interacted with players and said that Sarjit Hockey Society has made a significant contribution in the development of hockey. While encougingb the players, sharma advised the players that playing of game is good but simultaneously studybis also more important. He told that  toplay game but it is equally more important to study simultaneously. He further said that no matter how many medals the player may win in future, as long as the value ONE of education is not prefixed with these medal, it will be treated as ZERO value.Karnesh Sharma further said that the participation of more than 165 players in the hockey coaching camp run by Surjit Hockey Society in the age group of 14 and 19 years is a good start for those players who want to represent the Indian hockey team in future.  

He further said that a new stadium with hockey Astroturf  will also be constructed in the sports hub to be constructed at a cost of Rs.250 crore under the Smart City scheme at Bultron Park.On this occasion, on the occasion of the second death anniversary of the late Ramesh Kohli, who made his name in the world of wooden hockey in India, was remembered.  Late Ramesh Kohli, a highly respected name in the field of hockey, was the owner of Beat All Sports and the maker of the Vampire brand wooden hockey.  With the hockey made by the late Ramesh Kohli, great players like Ajitpal Singh, Surjit Singh, Charanjit Singh, Davinder Singh Garcha, Surinder Singh Sodhi, Rajinder Singh, Sodhi etc. played with this hockey and made Indian hockey famous all over the world. Ramesh Kohli has mastered not only hockey but also cricket beat and his BAS brand cricket bat is also world famous.  On this occasion his son Rajan Kohli also distributed T-shirts to all the players in the memory of late Ramesh Kohli.
