Moga Police Recovers Abducted Child in Few Hours

A two-year-old boy abducted from Ludhiana has been recovered within a few hours due to the vigilance of District Police Moga.  The child has been handed over safely to his parents and Ludhiana police.While giving this information, Mr Harmanbir Singh Gill Senior Superintendent of Police Moga said that a 2-year-old child Vinamr Gupta s/o Pankaj Gupta was kidnapped from Ludhiana on 01.12.20, around 2 pm, by one Harjinder Singh (who worked as a driver with the kidnapped child's family) on a car Swift Dzire colour white bearing number PB 10 FL 8134. A ransom of Rs. 4 crores was demanded in exchange for the child.  Meanwhile, it got known that the kidnapper has escaped from Ludhiana and entered Moga district. Immediately, the Moga Police sounded an alert all across the District and all entry/exit Nakas, patrolling parties including RRPRS/PCR vehicles were mobilised to conduct effective checking of vehicles. All GOs of the district sprung into action and started area dominance while ensuring the suspected car and its occupants are caught at the earliest. The said Swift Dzire car was later found abandoned in Kot Ise Khan area later in the evening with its occupants missing. However, on the morning of 02.12.20,  the patrolling team of SHO Sadar got an information that a car VW Polo bearing number HR 05 AF 0908 was found parked near Dagru Railway crossing in which the child was found alone by some passers-by. SHO Sadar SI Nirmaljit Singh immediately rushed to the spot and the said child turned out to be the kidnapped child Vinamr Gupta. The preparations are afoot to hand over the child safely back to his family members. Moga police are very near to arrest the accused.
