Minister for School Education and PWD Vijay Inder Singla today said that under the Chief Minister Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh the development works are being carried out at a fast pace in rural and urban areas alike. He added that under smart village scheme of the Punjab government rupees Rs 159 crore would be spent in 601 villages of District Sangrur where in 3113 developmental works will be carried out. In village Channo alone Rs 30 lakh works will be completed. MP Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Punjab captain Amrinder Singh under the second phase of smart village today initiated works of Rs 2774 crores in District Sangrur. Speaking during a simple ceremony held at village Channo the Minister Mr Vijay Inder Singla said that work on construction of sports Stadium at the village will be completed soon He added that the state government has begun procedure of recruiting 1 lakh people in government jobs and also 33% seat in various Jobs have been reserved for females. He added that Rs 14 crores working spent on cleaning ponds in subdivision Bhawanigarh. On this occasion Dc Sangrur Ramvir, Ssp viveksheel Soni, ADC (d) Rajinder Singh Batra, Chairman Block Samti Virender panva, Sarpanch Channo Arvinder Kaur, Harjit Singh others were also present.
