NADCP launched in Kupwara, 1.84 lakh cattle to be vaccinated

Nationwide Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) was today launched in Kupwara at a function organised by Animal Husbandry Department.Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone was the Chief Guest, on the occasion.It was informed that NADCP is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) under which all domestic animals including cattle and buffalo shall be covered under the vaccination and tagging programme to uphold the healthcare of the animals.It was also informed that in the first phase, 1.84 lakh animals shall be vaccinated and tagged under the programme in the district.Speaking on the occasion, the ADC stressed upon the departmental experts to ensure proper training of the field staff who are engaged in vaccination programme.He also directed Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Kupwara to strictly implement the vaccination programme along with tagging of all animals.Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Kupwara, Ghulam Mohammad Malik, Experts of Animal Husbandry department and other concerned were present in the function.
