DDC launches Jan Abhiyan in 5 CD Blocks of Anantnag

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, KK Sidha today launched Jan Abhiyan (Pre-B2V3) in 5 CD blocks of the district including Anantnag, Mattan, Pahalgam, Srigufwara and Bijbehara .The DDC during the Jan Abhiyan said that the main aim and objective for holding the programme is to address the issues and grievances of the general public.Meanwhile, the people during the programme raised the  demands regarding upgradation of transformers, installation of electric polls with conductor, drainage, repair and renovation of roads and macadamization, construction of link roads, protection bunds on vulnerable spots of Nallas and rivers, construction of crossings, supply of drinking water, sanction for establishment of ICDS centres, Sheep and animal husbandry centers.Besides they also demanded upgradation of schools, establishment of heath centers,  issuance of domicile certificates, job cards, driving licences, registration for golden cards, labour registration, issuance of legal heir, income certificates, character certificates, marriage assistance, registration for ladli beti, registration for skill development, old age pension and widow pensions.The DDC patiently listened to the demands and issues raised by the public and directed the concerned officers for their immediate redressal.The DDC directed officers for immediate redressal of the genuine demands for which Rs. 10lac have been released for each Panchayat to ensure start and completion of one work in each ward.He also informed the general public that he is monitoring the progress of this programme and a review shall be taken on 23rd of September 2020.The DDC was accompanied by SSP Anantnag, ADC, SDM’s, ACD, DPO,  Tehsildars, BDO’s,  CAO, CHO, Ex. Er’s of  PDD, PHE, R&B and field functionary of the concerned departments.The programme was also attended by BDC chairpersons, panchs, Sarpanchs and large number of people from the villages of the all 05 CD blocks.
