DDC Kishtwar holds Jan Abhiyan Programme at Padyarna

As a part of Jan Abhiyan programme, District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara today held a public hearing here at Padyarna Nagseni.Chairman Block Development Council, Nagseni Mohd. Ashraf Choudhary, Additional Superintendent of Police, Mushim Chaudhary, Tehsildar Nagseni, Majid Jahangir, Block Development Officer Nagseni, Abhey Indu Sharma, besides other District and Sectoral  officers, PRI members and field functionaries of the concerned departments were present on the occasion.The programme witnessed the participation of scores of individuals and PRI members of different Panchayat with due observance of the COVID-19 protocols.BDO Nagseni briefed the participants about the 3 components, aims and objectives of 21 day Jan Abhiyan programme.The BDC Chairman along with the other PRI members projected various issues of public importance and sought their redressal.The main issues highlighted in the camp included the renovation of the Bhattan-Dimzi road, restoration of 11 KV Navnato Power Grid, improved power supply to the six wards of Chhicha Bhella Panchayat, replacement of electric damaged poles in the Keru Chhicha and Piyas area, adequate water to areas of Kwararzi facing shortage, completion of Gorna to Gujjar basti irrigation canal, functioning of Animal centre at Piyas and Chhicha.

The DDC was also apprised of the issues related to the non-payment of rented school buildings, and land issue of   newly constructed building of the M/s Kadeeni, H/s Galhar, P/S Galhar.The DDC resolved several issues on the spot and forwarded the rest to the concerned authorities for prompt redress.On the issue of the shortage of the drinking water facility in various panchayats, he directed the Jal Shakti  department to complete the 2 pending WSS  projects of Panchayat Piyas and Bhagna on immediate basis taken up under the B2V1 programme.He called upon all the District officers to maintain close liasion with PRIs  to identify the feasible works in each Panchayat  and  document , execute and complete them before start of the B2V3.He stressed upon the all the District officers to ensure 100% Aadhaar linking of the bank accounts of the social security and individual welfare scheme beneficiaries.The main attraction of the camp was on the spot issuance of 73 individual-oriented certificates under various categories.On the issues of the employment of local youths both skilled and non skilled in the Kwar-Kiru and Pakal-Dul HEP, he asked the BDC chairman to submit the list of all the eligible persons in his office for further action.
