Jan Abhiyan/Awami Muhim Programme kick started in Kupwara

District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg today convened a meeting of concerned officers and BDC Chairpersons to kick-start “Jan Abhiyan/Awami Muhim” programme across the district.The meeting was informed that the objective of the Jan Abhiyan/Awami Muhim programme is to do necessary preparations for identification of various developmental works in each Block of the district for their execution during the upcoming third phase of Back to Village (B2V3) programme. Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that next 20 days under Jan Abhiyan are crucial for identifying the issues of the people at Panchayat level for their effective resolution in B2V3. To facilitate the successful implementation of the programme on ground, Block Coordinators have been designated as Nodal Officers who shall organise and coordinate the Awami Muhim/Jan Abhiyan programme in their respective blocks and shall ensure organization of special camps at the Block and Panchayat level for cent percent coverage of beneficiary oriented schemes by all departments.It was also given out that the Block Coordinators shall organize special village or Panchayat level camps for issuance of domicile certificates, SC, ST, RBA and such other certificates issued by local Revenue authorities. Besides, they shall ensure village wise coverage of eligible beneficiaries for various schemes with special emphasis on Pension, scholarships, KCC, Golden Cards, PMKISAN, PMMVY.The DDC directed the concerned officers to work in coordination for planning the activities in each block for effective results.He also directed them to prioritize the works which are doable and brings maximum welfare to the people on ground. The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kupwara, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir,  District Panchayat Officer, Chief Education Officer, DSEO, BDOs and CDPOs besides, BDC chairpersons were also present on the occasion.
