Keeping in pace with technological advancements in education, Government Degree College, Kishtwar in collaboration with Bombay stock exchange (BSE) today organized one day National Webinar on "Investors" Awareness: Manage your Finances”.The programme was organized under the patronage of   Principal, Prof. Anirudh Sharma, and convenership of Assistant Professor, Dept. of Botany, Dr Zahoor Ahmad Wan.The proceedings were conducted by Head of the Department of Commerce, Dr. Madhu Bala, who was also the co-convener of the webinar.In his inaugural address, Prof. Anirudh Sharma talked about the relevance of the webinar under present circumstances and stressed on more such initiatives for mass awareness about investment and financial management.In the webinar, two speakers from Pagdandi EduSol (BSE) delivered their presentations. First presentation was given by Gayatri Joshi (Marketing Officer, Pagdandi EduSol (BSE)), wherein she highlighted the importance of investment and briefed about the principles of wise investment.The Second talk was delivered by Sabzar Ahmed Wagay (Trainer, Pagdandi EduSol (BSE). He elaborated upon various issues related to investment like setting Financial goals, plans, budgeting, opening of Demat account, investment through mutual funds and SIP etc. He also discussed about various investment frauds like chit fund scams, ponzi schemes etc. The programme was attended by the participants of various universities and colleges from across the country, who actively participated in the question answer session at the end of the webinar.Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Wani delivered valedictory remarks and presented vote of thanks.
