Deputy commissioner kapurthala Deepti Uppal has said that the district is fully geared up to tackle the increasing covid cases With setting up of adequate medical equipments in civil hospitals.She said that the district has witnessed incraese in the covid cases as the testing capacity has been increased to 700 Per day against the earlier 300 per day.She further said that the district hospitals have Ventilators and high flow nasal oxygen therapy besides. Multiparameter, Pulse oximeters, Infusion Pumps and Suction Machines.She said that the district have one level I facility, Covid Care Centre in PTU with 100 bedded capacity besides level II Isolation centre with 100 beds capacity in Kapurthala and 50 bed in SDH Bholath. She also said that the quarantine centres for NRIs at Ananad College and LPU are all monitored by well trained staff 24*7.Deputy commissioner also urged the people to download the COVA app to get authentic information about the bed capacity, testing centres with rates in the district besides facilitating the registration of plasma donars on the cova app.She said that till now more than 52 lakh people have download the COVA app and people in the district must download this app to get real time information on the covid situation in the district.
