Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today launched Nasha Mukt campaign in the presence of General Manager DIC from DC Office here.The campaign will run for a year and DSWO Budgam has been designated as Nodal Officer for the campaign.The DSWO shall be responsible to chalk out the activities to be carried out all across the district relating to conducting awareness camps collecting data of involved persons establishment of rehabilitating services, if required etc.In his address DC said in order to defeat this menace and save the society particularly young generation from the hazardous effects of taking drugs, there is a need of cumulative effort and endeavor from every concerned particularly Departments of Health, Education and Social welfare department besides Police department has also vital role to play.The DC said that this is a good initiative taken in hand by the Ministry of Social Justice Govt. of India and under the first experiment a number of districts have been chosen all across the country and district Budgam being one of them.Among others, I/C ADC Dr Mohammad Ashraf, CMO Dr Tajamul, CEO Fatima Tak, DSWO Farhana Asgar were present on the occasion.
