A delegation of Hotel & Restaurant Association, Katra today called on Deputy Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib and projected their demands.The delegation comprising President, Rakesh Wazir; Chairman, Shyam Lal Kesar; Former President, Shiv Kumar Sharma;  Sr.Vice President, Virender Kesar and others met Deputy Commissioner, Reasi hailed the J&K government’s decision for taking effective steps for  starting Vaishnodevi Yatra after a gap of five months.They apprised that there is a need for making certain modifications   in the SOPs/guidelines issued by the government of J&K for covid protection and requested her for getting those amended from the concerned.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma; SDM Katra, Ashok Choudhary; Deputy CEOs SMVD Shrine Board Sunil Sharma and Deepak Dubey besides other officers were also present.The delegation sought increase in the per day limit of outside J&K pilgrims from 500 as per SOP/guidelines to 5000. They also demanded removal of limit on pilgrims within the UT adding that their number remains far less than 4500 as fixed by the government even during normal days.  The delegation members further demanded to allow all pilgrims   from other states and Union territories with  negative report of covid test done within 72 hours at their native places. They claimed that it would not hurt anyone because all pilgrims going to Vaishnodevi ji would be Covid negative.
