Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs. 130 crore in Jaisinghpur Vidhan Sabha area of Kangra  district.Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated teaching Block of Government Polytechnic College at Talwar completed at a cost of Rs. 5.95 crore. He also inaugurated 132 KV Sub Station  Kanghain completed at a cost of Rs 37.55 crore.Chief Minister also laid foundation stones of upgradation of Bhedi Uparli to Bhulandar Road to be completed by spending Rs. 3.27  crore, upgradation of Jangal to Oach Kalam Road to be completed by spending Rs 7.57 crore, foundation stone of balance work of Trahla Badhala and Kotlu road to be  completed by spending Rs. 3.23 crore, foundation stone of new building of Swami Vivekananda Government Degree College to be completed by  spending rupees five crore,  foundation stone of lift Water Supply Scheme to partially covered habitations of Dhupkiara, Sai, Garhoon, Hardoon, Kutwalla and Lahar etc. to be completed by spending Rs. 2.90  crore, laid foundation stone of Lift water Supply Scheme Andrana Bandhan under Jal Jeevan Mission in Tehsil Jaisinghpur to be completed by spending Rs. 1.98 crore, of Lift  Water Supply Scheme Harsi Sanghol under Jal Jeevan Mission to be completed by spending Rs. 1.50 crore and also laid foundation stone of providing household connection and  augmentation of Lift Water Supply Scheme Draman Jalag to be completed  by spending Rs. 7.01 crore. Chief Minister also laid foundation of water  supply Scheme to Chadihar   Khas and multi villages for Baijnath, Lambagaon and Panchrukhi Block of Baijnath and Jaisinghpur Constituency to e constructed by spending Rs. 43.88 crore.  While addressing  the people of the area on the occasion, Chief Minister said that the Covid-19 pandemic has forced the State Government to perform inauguration and foundation stone laying  ceremony virtually. He said that developmental projects worth Rs. 130 crore were dedicated by him today to the people of Jaisinghpur Vidhan Sabha area. Chief Minister urged  the people of the State to ensure adequate precautions to ensure check on spread of coronavirus in the State. He said that the State was fortunate to have benevolence of Prime  Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the Prime Minister has visited the State three times during the current tenure of the State Government. He said that Prime Minister was  always concerned about the developmental aspirations of the people of the State. He said that Prime Minister has meticulously led the nation during the Corona pandemic. He  said that this has ensured that the deaths due to COVID-19 were almost lowest amongst the most of the developed countries.Chief Minister said that it was due to the strong and  able leadership  of Prime Minister that the dream of crores of Indians have been realised, as the Bhumi Pujan of Lord Ram Temple at Ayodhaya was performed recently by the  Prime Minister and magnificent Lord Ram Temple would be constructed within two-three years. He said that not only this, several other historic decisions, such as abrogation of  Article 370, Triple Talaq etc. He said that this was possible due to the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Jai Ram Thakur said that on the request of the State  Government, the Union Government has approved investment clearance of  about Rs. 7922 crore for six projects of Irrigation, Multipurpose and flood control schemes for the  State. He said that this include Renuka ji Dam Project (National Project) with an estimated cost of Rs. 6947 crores and five proposals related to flood protection works/anti-erosion  measures with estimated cost of Rs. 975.70 crore.Local MLA Ravinder Dhiman while welcoming the Chief Minister to his home constituency thanked him for dedicating  developmental projects worth crores of Rupees in the area. He thanked the Chief Minister for laying foundation stones of five projects worth Rs. 57 crore under the Jal Jeevan  Mission. He also detailed various developmental demands of the area.Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Sarveen Chaudhary, Industries Minister Bikram Singh, Forests  Minister Rakesh Pathania, MP Rajya Sabha Indu Goswami, MLAs Mulk Raj Premi, Arjun Singh, Arun Mehra and  Hoshiar Singh, BJP General Secretary  Trilok Kapoor, Deputy  Commissioner Kangra Rakesh Prajapati and others were present on the occasion.
