State Government ensuring development does not suffer due to COVID-19 pandemic : Jai Ram Thakur

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that main objective of his visit to Kangra district in this time of COVID-19 pandemic, was to review the progress of various developmental  projects in the district and progress of the Chief Minister’s announcements. He was addressing the people at Baijnath in Kangra district today.Jai Ram Thakur said that foundation  stone of Rs. 44 crore Water Supply Scheme under the Jal Jeevan Mission, which was laid by him today at Jaisinghpur, would provide drinking water facilities to the people of 12  Panchayats of the Baijnath Vidhan Sabha area.Chief Minister said that the strong and able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was bound to make India the super power  of the world. He said that Article 370 and 35 A has become history and India now has One Constitution and One Symbol, adding that this was possible due to the strong  leadership at the Centre in form of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that CAA was a historic step taken by the Union Government as this would help in providing citizenship  to  the minorities coming from  Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan due to discrimination in these countries. Jai Ram Thakur said that the people of Baijnath contributed  significantly and generously towards the PM CARES and CM COVID Fund. He said that not only this, the BJP Mahila Morcha also prepared masks and distributed them to the  people. He said that the State Government also ensured that the corona epidemic remains under control in the State. 

Chief Minister said that the Congress leaders were evennot hesitating to politicise coronavirus pandemic. He said that when the Government borders were sealed in the State, the  Congress leaders were making baseless allegations  that the State Government was not concerned about the people of the State stranded in different parts of the Country. Now  when the State Government has brought back over two lakh people stranded in different parts of the Country, the same leaders were making much hue and cry that the  Government was bringing coronavirus to the State, he added.Jai Ram Thakur said that the road from Holi-Utrala would be taken in hand soon. He said that as soon as FRA and  FCA was accorded, the work would be started soon.Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha Indu Goswami said that she would leave no stone unturned to meet the expectations of  the people of Kangra, by raising the issues of the area in the upper House of the Parliament. MLA Baijnath Mulkraj Premi welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked the Chief  Minister for laying foundation of Water Supply Scheme to Chadihar  Khas and multi villages for Baijnath, Lambagaon and Panchrukhi Block of Baijnath and Jaisinghpur  Constituencies to be constructed by spending about   Rs. 44  crore. He also thanked the Chief Minister for being considerate towards the developmental needs of the people of  area. Speaker Vidhan Sabha Vipin Singh Parmar, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Sarveen Chaudhary, Forest and Youth Services and Sports Minister Rakesh  Pathania, MLA Vishal Nehariya and Arun Kumar, State BJP General Secretary Trilok Kapoor, Former MLA Dulo Ram were present  on the occasion.
