Kishtwar DDC launches blacktopping work on Dambar-Hawal link road

District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara today kick started  blacktopping  work on the 6.66 km stretch of Dambar to Hawal link road of Chhatroo block.The DDC was accompanied by Sub Divisional Magistrate Chhatroo Inderjeet Singh Parihar,Tehsildar Chhatroo Suman Sharma,  Block Development Officer Chhatroo Arun Kumar Badyal, Executive Engineer, PMGSY Division Chhatroo Jugal Kishore among others.Executive Engineer PMGSY Division Chhatroo informed that total estimated cost of this road is  Rs 4.11crore, while  phase-I has been completed and the  phase II work which involves macdamisation and allied works will be completed in all respects by Dec. 2020 .On completion, this road will provide all weather connectivity to 2000 population of Hawal village to the Tehsil headquarter Chhatroo, added XEn PMGSY.The DDC exhorted upon the Executive Engineer PMGSY to maintain the quality and complete the work in the stipulated time period with due observance of Covid SOPs and Protocols at the work place.Meanwhile, the DDC interacted with the locals and listened to their grievances. He assured them of redress of their grievances in a time bound manner.He also inspected tehsil office Mughal Maidan and reviewed its functioning. He directed Tehsildar to ensure that domicile certificates are issued to the masses at their door steps. He also impressed upon him to ensure updation and maintenance of the revenue record.On the way, the DDC also inspected the quality of macdamisation work at various places on Kishtwar-Chhatroo National highway undertaken by NHIDCL.
